I see an interesting item using the Web UI of a server other than the one I am using, and can do nothing about it but follow the user?

Unfortunately there's nothing Pumpa can do about that unless it is able to load the item from the other server via pump.io. You can of course share a link by copy and pasting it from the web browser.
